React Job: JavaScript Developer

Our current product affordIQ is a phone app that helps first home buyers understand what homes they can afford. They can choose where and when they want to buy and set a budget to get there. With their future in sight, they can bend it in the direction they want by setting budget goals to reduce their spending and maximise their savings.

We are currently seeking an experienced Javascript Developer for a position in this fast-paced, growing industry with opportunities for professional growth. Candidates will be encouraged to develop innovative products in an environment of creative ideas. The successful candidate will be able to work with the technology team to design and develop scalable software that is both user-friendly and compatible with current systems.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be as comfortable working with the browser as they are with NodeJS and will be expected to:

• Work as part of a distributed, multi-disciplinary team to build web applications

• Architect, build and maintain excellent applications with clean code

• Implement user interfaces that match designs * Offer design improvements if required

• Integrate with first- and third-party APIs

• Write unit and integration tests

• Be familiar with lean and/or agile working methods * Provide estimates for work

• Work with tools such as JIRA, Github etc.

Beneficial skills

• Experience of Svelte or SvelteKit or other more forward-looking frameworkds and libraries

• SVG

• Unit testing

• End to end testing

• D3 for charting and data manipulation

• Docker experience

• An understanding of micro service architecture * Experience of GraphQL particularly Apollo

• Integration with 3rd party services

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
